Welcome

 Lemvis

A huge Elvis fan, Andrew Leonard, better known in the ETA world as "Lemvis" would sing along to his favorite Elvis songs and soon realized he had a tone of voice very similar to that of the Kings.

In August of 2004 he entered his first singing contest singing a variety of songs and taking the finals with an Elvis style rendition of “My Way”. He took  first place.

One month later he overheard a local radio station who were seeking an Elvis Impersonator for a Fireman’s Ball. He answered the call and performed his first ever show as Elvis. Equipped with an awful hire jumpsuit, cheesy wig and cheap glasses he was thrown into the deep end and performed 3 songs in front of a crowd of over 300. The crowd went nuts and wanted more. People there would ask him how long he had been doing his Elvis act and couldn’t believe it was his first show.   He enjoyed it so much that he decided to give it a try and convinced his very talented Mother to make his first jumpsuit (Thanks Mum - Andrew). “Lemvis was born” and the rest is history

Since then he has performed over 90 shows in his first year and a half and has been very much in demand in his home city of Canberra and surrounding NSW, performing at festivals, expos, casinos , weddings, parties, clubs, corporate functions, government events and many other special occasions. Every Lemvis show leads to another and he is usually invited back to perform again, which says something for his ability as a performer.

As far as voices go, no one in Australia comes as close to Elvis’ as Lemvis’. It is so close to Elvis’ that he is often mistaken by members in the audience as miming to a record. His voice is naturally suited to Elvis and doesn’t have to fake the mannerisms that many ETA’s so often do. His show is very interactive and loves nothing more then to get out amongst the crowd, singing directly to them, entertaining with his voice, humor and moves.

Andrew's show is based on the ‘69 Vegas shows, 70’s and Aloha from Hawaii concerts, although he can sing any era. Lemvis has a repertoire of over 300 Elvis songs, can sing the soft ballads, rock it hard, blast out the powerful operatic numbers and even throws in some more modern songs Elvis never got the chance to sing.

From the voice and moves to the looks, hair and sideburns, Lemvis is the real deal, although being an Aussie he does have to put on the Memphian accent. He has the utmost respect for Elvis and does what he does for the love of it and to pass on the legacy and great music left from the great man we all know as “Elvis Presley”.

As Andrew says, “there is only one Elvis and no one can or ever will come close. He may be gone but he will never die, well not as long as I can help it”. Lemvis is “Australia’s Voice Of The King”.
